| Soft proofing is a way to get a quick look at how an
image will look when printed. The trick is getting all your profiles
set correctly. Here is one way to soft proof.
Soft Proofing
1) Open an image.
2) Go to View – Proof Setup and select Custom.
3) Select the appropriate profile for the printer (Epson 2200 and Premium
Luster Paper).
4) To see how it may look, toggle between Perceptual and Relative Colormetric
in the Intent section. (Use Black Point Compensation should be checked).
5) Next select File and Print with Preview.
6) Check Show more options
7) On the Output box check to bring up Color Management.
8) Now you have to bring up the Adobe drivers. Select the profile to
match the printer and paper, and select the intent that you set earlier
(Perceptual or Relative Colormetric).
9) Click Print and then Properties.
10) Select appropriate Paper, then select Custom and Advanced.
11) Select High Speed for Proofing, slow speed for high quality prints.
12) Then Select No Color Adjustment (you have already selected Adobe
for color management, this turns off the Epson diver for color management)
I believe these are the appropriate settings, if you have the appropriate
drivers loaded in Photoshop.
